1. Tainan Sustainable Circle of learning
Tainan National University of the Arts (TNNU) plays a leading role in our Tainan Sustainable Circle of learning. Within this circle, local schools are united and share their resources and green experiences with each other. Experienced schools also act as seeds to provide assistance to new comers. We pay particular attention to green building and base our project on this issue.
2. Understanding the 4 Elements in the Nature
For years, postgraduates of TNNU Architecture have designed many DIY activities for our students to approach certain green issues, especially sustainable construction. Last year, our teachers began to brainstorm new activities for the students, and tried to lead them to approach the 4 natural elements: wind, light, water, and heat. This year, we keep on sharing our experiences in these activities with our partners, and hope they can all understand the sustainability in TNNU!|s Green Building.
3. Labor Hiring & Material Purchasing; Working Holiday
Our five-year-old Working Holiday project has successfully made many former participants obtain their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Some of them even came back and provided assistance to the current members. We also recruited new blood from social networking websites, so that the information could be spread to more people interested in sustainable development. Under !§Labor Hiring & Material Purchasing!‥ and !§Working Holiday,!‥ we and our partners planned to re-use the derelict wood lodge. Our students and high school students could spend their holidays renovating the place with some cheap and recycled materials. Throughout the activity, they could have better understanding of the nature of wood, and learn more about eco-friendly materials.
4. Interschool Teacher-Student Communication
In our team, we built up learning base and interschool teacher-student communication.
