The rainwater harvested on the rooftop of Zhongxiao Building and Heping Building is used to flush the toilets on the first and second floor on the right side of Zhongxiao Building and for the Rural Experience Project. This increases the water utilization rate and effectively promotes the sustainable use of land and water resources.
In addition, our art classes create artwork on sustainable development to beautify rain barrels. By combining the campus surroundings and art classes, we raise students!| awareness on environmental protection and provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talent.
We also explain to students how rain barrels are used and how we avoid wasting rainwater resources in line with curriculum design. Due to Taiwan!|s insular climate and lack of water resources, we should develop all kinds of renewable resources more actively.
