MDES students were frequently disturbed by the presence of biting midges (forcipomyia taiwana) because of the existing environmental problems. Given that these concerns could be addressed immediately, MDES thus applied for financial aid to implement 55 screen doors to alleviate the ongoing biting problems.
Additionally, the east!Vwest orientation of the Main Building resulted in severe problems in direct insolation, particularly during the summers. Therefore, MDES conducted roof construction projects to implement shading. Combined with the school!|s art courses, the completion of the construction enables annual updates of shading devices according to annual development themes.
