Hou-Bi Senior High School

!

It was the third time we proposed a sustainable campus project in 2009 and, again, it was a fruitful year for our sustainable development. From the early ideas, project outline, to the final implementation, the whole process had seen active participation of our sustainable campus teammates. In fact, we aimed to promote sustainability through a couple of DIY activities. Teachers were expected to lead students to build up a green and sustainable campus together. With the professional assistance from Tainan National University of the Arts (TNNUA), students were able to truly appreciate the work and meaning of our sustainable campus project.

This year we have found new blood in our sustainable campus team and even seen a new student society for creative repairs and maintenance. All of these suggest that sustainable development has become a more and more common topic among our students and teachers. We also want to express our deep gratitude to the postgraduates of the Architecture Department of TNNUA for their unyielding assistance to our project. Their strong dedication to sustainable development has set a good example for us to follow when we outline our future sustainable campus projects. They led the kids to walk into local communities, to visit neighboring schools, and share their green experience. In the past three years, we have seen more green possibilities shine on our students!| faces. Thus, we believe we have sown green seeds in their minds and can expect sustainability to pass down to coming generations.
