Ming-Chwan Junior High School

!

In our sustainable campus project, our school decides to cooperate with local communities in certain green projects. With the assistance from people around, the basic ideas for our project begins to emerge. As a matter of fact, we also arrange some workshops for our teachers to enrich their green knowledge and share their experience.

As for the eco education, we installed a PV power system and monitored it and installed a LED panel in the lobby to show the systems!| information. Hence, students passing by could clearly see the current status of the PV system and its function. In addition, we set a window in the lobby to demonstrate how the PV system converts sunlight into electricity. We also made some posters and models for students to better understand the growing trend towards green energy and recycling. In short, this project was aimed to strongly promote our green efforts in carbon reduction and our dedication to clean energy.

We hope we can connect our school with other local schools and communities and further develop our project into a bigger one, a closer connection for green education that can encompass every aspect of students!| life. Our school has been determined to take our campus as a living example and teaching aid for our eco education, one that students can explore in the environment, not just in the TV or textbooks.
