Jungshing Elementary School

I. The implementation of the Sustainable Campus Project In response to the invitation of the ground, leaves turn red and fall; trees simply let them go. We respect nature, environment, and ecosystems. We have invited partners to put words into practice for teachers, students, and the community to experience the energy of lives, the abundance of lands, and the circle of life. We invited schools, professors, architects, private organizations, and volunteers in the community to take part in the Sustainable Campus Project in 2013. We hope to realize our goals by working together and render the campus more sustainable in 2014. II. The integration of the Sustainable Campus Project and environmental education as a strategy In 2011, Jungshing Elementary School developed school-based curricula featuring Houlong River. We produced a drama focusing on environmental protection. In addition, we also produced two dramas for students to understand the environmental importance of water in 2013 and energy in 2014. In 2013, we collaborated with Dashan and Sin-Ying Elementary Schools to carry out the Sustainable Campus Project. In this project, the courses focused on practice, experience, and reflection of sustainability. After renovation, teachers can use teaching activities and the campus as a teaching material to help students better understand their living environment, tell the difference between their natural surrounding and artificial environments, and understand the interaction between common organisms. In addition, students can understand the basic principles of nature and the harmonious relationship between human beings and nature. III. The support of the principal We invited everyone to take part in the Sustainable Campus Project in 2013 and hoped that all the participants could admire the beauty of nature.
